During the coronavirus pandemic, customer and staff safety continues to be our top priority and we continue to follow Scottish Government guidelines.
Verification visits where required, may be conducted by video call via Zoom, WhatsApp or similar video platforms whilst these guidelines remain in place. Also, we will expect all applicants to be in a position to provide proof of residency for ALL people living in your current accommodation by email.
Partner landlords are operating a contactless allocations process which will mean that if you are successful you will be expected to view the property without any staff present inside the property during your visit. Staff will keep a safe distance and offer advice and support by telephone so it is important that you have access to a fully-charged mobile telephone and ideally a smart phone capable of video calling. You will also require an active email address so that the offer letter and instructions can be sent to you and be in a position to pay your rent by debit card or bank transfer prior to your tenancy commencing.
We may have to restrict the letting of properties to customers who have increased vulnerability as defined by Scottish Government guidelines; we will ask you about this before proceeding with any offer of housing. Therefore, if you are shielding and submit a bid on a property you will be expected to view the property and move within a reasonable period should you be successful. Where you cannot view a property this will result in the offer counting as a refusal and may lead to your application being suspended in accordance with the Joint Allocations Policy.
If in doubt about any of the above please seek advice from the advertising landlord prior to making any bid.
